Welcome! This is the personal domain of Steve and Michelle Elgersma, and this site will contain an ecclectic mix of things of interest to us (mostly Steve, BTW, but we'll see if we can't get Michelle to contribute some stuff from time to time).
Why A440?
"A" refers to the musical note, with 440 being the frequency of that pitch in hertz, or oscilations per second. This is the generally accepted pitch to which Western orchestras tune (wikipedia article). So, yes, I'm a musician, although I must confess to being merely an enthusiastic amateur, rather than a professional. :-) |

New Site (Sort of)

After a few years, I have decided that PostNuke is no longer appropriate for
this site. The management was easy, but I wasn't using 80% of what the
package had to offer. It had become more of a hassle than was worth it.
As a result, I'm re-doing the site, but have decided to keep the theme for
now, so things will look a whole lot like they did before, there will just be
a few things missing (if you miss them, let me know!).
The first order of business will be to get the old stories back here. I'll
be doing that over the next little while, so hang in there, and check back!
